We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, experienced Head of Software Development to join our growing bespoke software development team. Leading our team of talented software developers, you will manage and motivate to bring out the best in everyone. 
 
Providing expert technical guidance, demonstrating industry best practices, and with experience of working in an agile development environment, you will have a wealth of programming knowledge and enthusiasm. 
 
With exposure to an exciting range of projects, you will work closely with Project Management to deliver cutting-edge software.

The Role at a Glance:

• Managing and motivating software development team
• Work with other developers to help design algorithms and flowcharts
• Produce clean, quality and efficient code
• Integrate software components and third-party programs
• Meet with clients to define requirements
• Working closely with Project Management and Business Development teams
• Verify and deploy programs and systems
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
• Gather and evaluate user feedback - recommend and execute improvements
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
• Provide transparent progress updates

Essential:

• C#
• .Net
• Angular2+
• jQuery / JavaScript
• HTML
• CSS
• SQL Server
• Sub versioning, either Git or SVN

Desirable but not essential:

• Azure Cloud
• MySQL
• React Native
• Java
• UWP / WPF / XAML
• Ruby

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 5+ years commercial experience and experience managing a team.
• Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to support other developers and offer technical advice
• Plenty of drive, enthusiasm, curiosity and creativity to turn ideas into code
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
• Capacity to learn and thrive with new languages and technologies
• Confidence in talking through functionality and potential approaches to development
• Logical thinking and sound problem solving skills
• An ability to design effective development plans and outline accurate estimates
• Being an all-round advocate for the Clever Software brand
